Stephanie Carbonell:

This is Steph’s first year with Fusion Core.  No stranger to the DCA competitive field, she has been a drum major for the Skyliners Drum & Bugle Corps (2014-2017), the Centurions Drum & Bugle Corps (2011-2012), and the Sunrisers (2003). Steph has played mellophone for the Wind Gap Blue Eagles, Lambertville Volunteers, NY Skyliners (brass rookie of the year in 2000), Sunrisers and Centurions. She played mellophone for 3 years in the Incomparable Golden Rams Marching Band at West Chester University. Steph has assisted her husband Larry in helping to bring back several drum corps to the competitive field including the Sunrisers, Centurions and Skyliners.  She has twin boys with interests in music, Logan (trombone) and Connor (tuba). Steph is very happy to be marching with her son Connor this year for his rookie year in drum corps. She is thrilled to be marching with the “purple team” at Fusion Core!

This is Matt's first year with Fusion, his first year as drum major, and his first season as a backfield drum major. His first year, Matt marched in the tuba section for Highland Regiments founding season, and he is currently a drum major at North Arlington High School and is doing his first year of drum major there as well. Matt has played with Rowan University's college youth band and has been playing woodwind and brass instruments of all kinds in his high school program and other programs such as drum corps.
